Bonnie J. Thornton, 84, Johnston County, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017.
Funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Jordan's Chapel Baptist Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ray Smeltzer officiating. Interment will be at Jordan's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters, Diane Woodard (Allen) of Four Oaks, N.C., and Connie Deveney of Power Springs, Ga.; grandchildren, Frankie Woodard (Crystal), Jennifer Britt (Chris), Bobby Woodard (Briana), Jeremy Bowden (Fiona), Renee Deveny (Faysal Charkani El Hassini) and Lucas Deveney; sister, Jessie Buie of Fayetteville, N.C.; and brother, Royster Jernigan of Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by husband, Bowden Thornton.
Family will receive friends at the church Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, from 1 to 2 p.m.
