Ervin H. Huggins, 83, died Thursday morning, Jan. 5, at his home in Charlotte.
A graveside service will be Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery of Mount Olive. Full military honors will be rendered.
Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13.
He was retired from the United States Air Force, having attained the rank of chief master sergeant.
He was a member of VFW Post 9996 in Cape Carteret.
He had been married to the late Elizabeth "Bibbi" Tillman Huggins, a Mount Olive native.
He is survived by a son, David Huggins of Catawba, S.C.; a grandchild, Sharon Jacob; a great-grandchild, Kailyn Jacob; his companion, Virginia Huggins Gayle; two stepsons, Mark Adams and wife, Angela, of Cape Carteret and Jesse Adams and wife, Linda, of Florida; a stepdaughter, Deborah Futrelle and husband, Larry, of Texas; six stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Bernard Huggins and wife, Virginia, of Franklin; and a sister, Joyce H. Kinsland of Franklin.
