KERMIT GERALD GRAY

June 22, 1940-Dec. 5, 2016

Kermit Gerald Gray, 76, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at White Oak Manor in Burlington.

Kermit was born in Chetek, Wisc., June 22, 1940, to the late Leartis and Anna H. Gray.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Kermit retired as a supervisor with Land O'Lakes.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Kermit lived a life of dedication to his family and friends and to his community.

He was a member of Goldsboro Worship Center.

A service to celebrate Kermit's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Goldsboro Worship Center, with the Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Eastern North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 8, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

Kermit is survived by his wife, Bobbie Brown Gray; daughters, Carmen Heart and husband, Jeff, of Unity, Wisc., and Jackie Peele and husband, Lyle Jr., of Athens, Wisc.; son, Charlie Gray and wife, Stephanie, of Casa Grande, Ariz.; stepsons, Ronnie Stone and wife, Linda, George Stone and wife, Teresa, Gary Stone and wife, Kathy, and Terry Stone all of Goldsboro; sisters, Rachel Robus of Marshfield, Wisc., and Sandy Gray of Chetek, Wisc.; brother, Merele Gray of Minnesota; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Gray.
