MARGARET HERRING HARPER ROBINSON

Margaret Herring Harper Robinson, 91, Newport, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Munden Funeral Home chapel in Morehead City, with the Rev. James "Winkie" Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service.
Margaret loved flowers and tending to her garden. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and cooking for her family.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Christine Jones, Marlene Dunkle and husband, Frankie, and Patricia Beck; sons, Ray Harper, Frank Harper and wife, Tammi, and Roger Harper and wife, Margaret; 16 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leroy Harper; husbands, Frank Robinson and Eric Harper; parents, Henry and Queenie (Thomas) Herring; brothers, Bruce Herring, Jessie Herring, James Herring, Amos Herring and Charles Herring; sister, Eula Mae Herring; and one grandchild.
