Peggy Jean Council, 61, 130B Dell Drive, Dudley, died Oct. 20 at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Temple United Holy Church of Calypso, with elder John Whichard as eulogist and pastor Scottie Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Windsor Ingram Sr. and Inez Carlton Ingram, and wife of the late John T. Council Jr.
Three children survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home.
