Doris Mae Hooks Roper, 87, Kenly, died Sunday at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kenly Cemetery.
Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hooks and Ethel Barnes Hooks. She was married to the late William L. Roper Sr.
She is survived by three sons.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service.
