Retired first sergeant and Master Sgt. Robert B. Herring Jr., 59, died Monday at Vidant Inpatient Hospice of Greenville.
Funeral will be Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Burial will be Monday at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
He was born in Pender County to Robert B. Sr. and Elsie Marie Branch Herring.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Harper Herring, and two children.
Visitation will be Saturday at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations from 4 to 7 p.m.
