Retired Dr. James Holloway Askins, Fayetteville, died May 12 at the North Carolina Sate Veterans Nursing Home.
Born March 5, 1936, in Lake City, S.C., he was the son of the late Jamie and Hallie Askins.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two daughters; and two sons.
