Alice Elisabeth Wooten Holmes Lee, 82, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016. She was born in Mount Olive on June 8, 1934 to the late Robert Peel Holmes Jr. and Elisabeth Wooten Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Peel Holmes III.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Henry Neill Lee Jr. of the home; two sons, Neill Currie Lee of Orrum and Robert Holmes Lee of Davidson; two daughters, Elisabeth Wooten Lee Schmitz and Mary Catherine MacKinnon Lee, both of Charlotte, and two grandchildren, Ezekiel Adam Schmitz and Josephine Elisabeth Schmitz.
A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the family home, 1003 Riverside Blvd. in Lumberton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lumberton with Dr. David Ruth officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robeson County Church and Community Center, 690 W. 5th Street, Lumberton, N.C. 28358 or to Robeson County Humane Society, 3180 W. 5th Street, Lumberton, N.C. 28358.
