Etta Lancaster Velasquez "Punk," 78, Dudley, passed away Monday at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Thurman and Kathleen Lancaster, and was the wife of Rosalio Velasquez.

Mrs. Velasquez had attended Fort Run Church of God, and was retired from Harris Teeter.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with pastor Marvin Wiggins officiating.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Velasquez is survived by two sons, Ricky Lee Lancaster of Dudley and John Michael Millard of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Ricky Lancaster of Goldsboro and Kristy Thompson and husband, Clint, of Goldsboro; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Thompson both of Goldsboro; and special nieces, Phyllis Cheney and Elaine Lozier both of Dudley.

Mrs. Velasquez was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Lancaster.
