Andrew "Andy" Barry Thompson, 56, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Andrew was born in England Aug. 11, 1960, and was the son of Brian and Ann Hyde Thompson of England.
Andrew began his career working as a delivery skipper, and currently owned and operated, along with his wife, Kar Kat Inc.
Andrew had a great love for flying, and was a member of East Carolina Radio Control Flying Club, where he had served as its president.
The family will gather for a visitation and time of remembrance Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karin Quick Thompson; daughter, Katharine "Kate" Rose Thompson; sister, Ruth White and husband, Dave; mother-in-law, Ingrid Quick; sister-in-law, Tanya Quick; and brother-in-law, Jay Walitola.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Education Fund for Kate Thompson, c/o Select Bank, Attn: Rochelle Hobbs, 431 N. Spence Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or SMOC-Cures for the Colors, 203, Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
