Retired United States Army Sgt. 1st Class George Berkley Bass, 67, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial with full military honors will be at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
He was born July 7, 1949, in Wayne County to the late Richard and Lizzie Martin Bass. He was married to Ingrid Bass.
He is survived by two daughters.
Visitation will be an hour prior to service.
