MARGARET Y. ANDERSON

Margaret Yvonne Anderson, 75, LaGrange, peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
Margaret was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Wayne County to the late Joe Andrew Anderson and Lois Williams Anderson.
Margaret worked 30-plus years in banking with First American Bank.
She later retired from Lenoir County Department of Social Services.
Margaret was a member of LaGrange Christian Church.
Strong willed, private and fiercely independent, Margaret was very committed to a close circle of friends.
Very meticulous by nature, Margaret took great pride in her yard and the appearance of her car.
Margaret enjoyed shopping if she could find a good deal, and loved the music of Elvis Presley.
A service to honor Margaret's life will be held Friday, July 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald Stacy and the Rev. Rob Shawhan officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Jo Anne Anderson Taylor and husband, Nelson; a niece, Tanya T. Cahoon and husband, Gene, and their children, Anya Elizabeth Cahoon and Andre Ethan Cahoon; and a cousin, Barbara Sheppard.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Joyce Anderson.
Margaret's family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
