WALTRAUT LUISE BARTON

Waltraut Luise Barton, 85, died Sunday morning, at Kitty Askins Hospice center. Born in Galsdon, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Luise Plogsties and was the wife of the late Norman Douglas Barton and was preceded in death by a son, Terry Barton.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery. Family members will greet friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
She is survived by three sons, Winfred Barton and his wife, Quay of Stokesdale, N.C., Randy Barton and his fiancee, Tracie of Illinois and Vernon Barton and his wife, Kelly of Pikeville; a daughter, Norma Rogers and her husband, Randy of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
