Died May 24, 2016
Edward "Ed" P. Odom Sr., 90, Atlantic Beach, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.
Mr. Odom retired after 28 years as a driver with Greyhound Bus Co.
He was a World War II and Korea veteran, having served in the Merchant Marines.
He will be remembered privately.
He is survived by his two sons, Ed Odom Jr. and wife, Elaine, of Raleigh and H. Lee Odom of Clayton; three grandchildren, Eddie Odom III of Fuquay-Varina, Kristen Randle of Nashville, Tenn., and Ashley C. Odom of Raleigh; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Sanford of Norfolk, Va.; and longtime friend, Alene Hebb of Newport.
