Leander Mitchell, 89, LaGrange, died Thursday at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The burial with military honors will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
The visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
He was born in Wayne County on Aug. 10, 1926, to the late Jessie and Nellie Langston Mitchell.
He was survived by a son and two daughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Ann Tombs Mitchell.
