Doris Ann Jones Hinnant, affectionately known as "Tiny," was the fourth of four children born to the late Ivan Jones Sr. and Helen Armstrong Jones. She received the master's call early Tuesday morning, April 20, while at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She grew up in the Webbtown community in Goldsboro, N.C., on Isler Street.

She attended Goldsboro City Schools, and graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1970.

She really loved the Lord, and was one of the most dedicated ushers at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church until her health prevented her from doing so.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her two loving daughters, Kechia Howell (John) and Shaneka Hinnant both of Goldsboro, N.C.; her grandchildren, whom she loved like only a "NaNa," as they called her, could love, Dominique Atkinson, Jacquarius (Quan) Howell, Bryanna Crawford, Areyanna Smith-Hinnant and Alexis Benson-Hinnant all of Goldsboro; four great-grandchildren, Davaion, Makhayla, Akira and C.J.; one loving sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Harold Isler Sr. of Goldsboro; three loving aunts, Annie Pearl Vaughn, Mabel Watson and May Simms all of Goldsboro; special double first cousin, Chester Armstrong of Conyers, Ga.; two nieces, Toreia Ephriam of Fayetteville, N.C., and Rholonda Evans of Goldsboro, N.C.; four nephews, Reginald Brown of Milwaukee, Wisc., Erwin Brown of Gary, Ind., Robert Evans Sr. (Tamika) of Rocky Mount, Va., and fire chief Harold Isler Jr. (Tesha) of Rockingham, N.C.; great-nieces and nephews, Steven Parker, Rashad Parker, Precious Brown, Erwin Brown Jr., Delorean Brown, Destiny Isler, Harold Isler III, Jaylen Evans, Darrius Evans, Robert Evans and Joseph Evans; special friends, Leonard Isler Jr., Larry Mathis, Renee Williams, Charlenna Bennett-Carter, Alice Grady, Laura Parker, Essie Wooten and Kitty Taylor; and a host of other loving relative and friends.

A special thank you to the fourth-floor staff of Wayne Memorial Hospital, especially Sharon Troy, and the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, LaGrange, N.C. She will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, U.S. 117 Bypass, Goldsboro, N,C.

There will be a visitation held Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
