Gracie Jones Kelly, 83, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at Woodard's Care surrounded by her family.
Gracie was born in Wayne County Dec. 29, 1932, to the late Daniel Jones and Bertha Kelly Jones. She was married for 45 years to the late Robert Allen Kelly.
Gracie was employed at Franklin Baking Co. for many years, and will be remembered as an avid gardener.
She was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
Gracie was the kindest and most loving mother and grandmother and a great friend to everyone. She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Gracie's life at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lee Britt officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Bill Diehl, 120 Woodland Church Road, Goldsboro.
Gracie is survived by her daughters, Virginia Diehl and husband, Bill, of Goldsboro, Bertha Hutson and husband, Hank, of Fremont and Barbara Pressley and husband, Mark, of Fremont; sisters, Doris Sutton and Fay Whitman; and brother, James Jones.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Johnny Sauls and wife, Melissa, Sharon Colyer and husband, Tim, Tammy Mazaika and husband, Roy, Charles Hutson and Brandon Pressley; six great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Travis Kelly; sister, Margaret Williams; and brothers, Donald Ray Jones and D.J. Jones.
