AARON MARSHALL
March 19, 1941-March 11, 2016
Aaron Marshall, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at the age of 74.
He was born March 19, 1941, in Birmingham, Ala., son of the late McNeil and Ocie Mae Marshall.
He rose to the rank of technical sergeant after 20 years in the United States Air Force, with a tour of duty in Vietnam.
The Marshall family will receive friends Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Aaron's life at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Full military honors will be rendered by the honor guard of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base following the service on the front lawn.
Aaron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan Nash Marshall of Little Rock, Ark.; children, Stephanie Kaye Marshall and Michael Aaron Marshall, retired United States Navy; daughter-in-law, Melody Katherine Marshall; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by sisters, Thaddeus Roseman of Detroit, Mich., Jeraldine Sherrod and Jacqueline C. Long both of Birmingham, Ala., Avis Colston of Atlanta, Ga., and Mary Nelms-Baxter of Southfield, Mich., along with a host of nieces and nephews.
