Russell "Snooky" Almond, 66, died March 8 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be at Carver Memorial Park.
He was born Nov. 28, 1949, in Wayne County to Russell Devon Smith and Ida Mae Stewart.
He is survived by a son.
Visitation will be noon to 12:50 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
