MARY ALICE DAVIS

Mary Alice Christine Davis died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Gurney Vance and Alice Carter Blanton, and was the wife of Bert Leroy Davis.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Walter Sloan officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
In addition to her husband, Mary Alice is survived by three sons and a daughter- in-law, Tim Davis of Goldsboro, Tommy and Rhonda Davis of Knoxville, Tenn., and Michael Davis of Goldsboro; two brothers; Vance Blanton of Mount Airy, Md., and Ronnie Blanton of Harrogate, Tenn.; a sister, Linda Lupton of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
