Nancy Diane Little Syverson, 70, was called to her heavenly home Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the University of North Carolina Hospital surrounded by her family.

Diane was born in Johnston County Sept. 18, 1945, to the late Jimmie Gaston Little and Gladys Inez Reeves Little.

She was married to the late LaVern Stewart Syverson, who preceded her in death in 2013.

Diane was a member of Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

She was an amazing mother to her boys and grandmother to her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sherman Dilley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church.

Diane is survived by her sons, Ronnie Syverson and wife, Tammy, of Goldsboro and Mike Syverson and wife, Alison, of Pikeville; grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley and Gavin Syverson, Mary-Catherine Talton and husband, Bryan, Anna Bass and husband, Andrew, and Matthew Davis; and a great-grandchild, Ella-Rose Talton.

She is also survived by her brother, Billy Ray Little and wife, Belle, of Kenly, and sisters, Emily Little Davis of Eureka and Sandra Little Barbour and husband, Ricky, of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Earl Little; sister, Peggy Little Newsome; and daughter-in-law, Melanie Langston Syverson.
