Bessie Mae Foss Justice, longtime resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Tuesday morning, January 26, at Genesis Health Care.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Devotional Gardens Cemetery of Warsaw, officiated by a special nephew, the Rev. Shelton Justice.
Many years ago, she had been a resident of the Magnolia area and attended Magnolia Holiness Church. She was employed with Nash Johnson in Rose Hill in the hatchery with a long tenure of faithful service. Upon her relocation to Mount Olive, she worshipped at the Church of God.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Hoggard, of Dudley; grandchildren, Tammy Sue Cartagena and husband, Willie, of Dudley, and Gary Hoggard of Pikeville; great-grandchildren, Christopher Lee Cartagena, Donna Marie Cartagena, both of Dudley, and Wyatt Hoggard of Pikeville; great-great-grandchildren, Austin Lee Cartagena and Haven Elayna Best; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Justice; three sons, William Nelson, Rodney Gene, and David Joel Justice; a son-in-law, James Hoggard; and a great-great-grandson, Landon Ray Best.
