FRANCES COPELAND HARE

Died Jan. 2, 2016

Frances Copeland Hare was called home Jan. 2, 2016, after a short illness.

The life she lived, one of grace and Christian love, could not be diminished by the sickness that she endured. Her sweet smile and gentle ways will be remembered by those who knew her.

A service celebrating Frances' life will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rufus Butner and the Rev. Adam Seate officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church in the hour prior to her funeral service.

Frances was born in the Fremont area of Wayne County to the late William A. and Penninah Dees Copeland. She was married to the late Lester H. Hare.

She was a member of, and cherished, St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Susan Hare Bevins and husband, Bruce Bevins, of South Burlington, Vt.; Betty Hare Schelhorn and her husband, Geoffrey Schelhorn, of Herndon, Va.; and four grandchildren, Nathaniel Edward Bevins, Jason August Schelhorn, Katharine Frances Schelhorn and David Hare Schelhorn.

She was predeceased by her brother, William E. Copeland, of Florence, S.C.
