TIM SHOFNER

Feb. 12, 1959-Nov. 10, 2015

Timothy Gordon Shofner, AKA, "Cat Daddy," 56, of Kinston, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at his home.

Tim was born in Wake County on Feb. 12, 1959, to John and Laura Driver Shofner, of Goldsboro.

He had worked as the plant maintenance supervisor at Caswell Center in Kinston.

Tim enjoyed playing pool with his son, fishing, golfing, going to turkey shoots, taking care of his dogs and horses and most of all being with his grandchildren.

He had a lasting impact on everyone he met and will be dearly missed.

Tim's greatest joys were spending time with family and friends, telling his special stories and taking his grandchildren on golf cart rides.

A service celebrating Tim's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Family of Faith Community Church in Goldsboro with the Rev. John Earnest officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at the church.

In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his son, Timothy Gordon Shofner II and wife, Heather, of Kinston; daughter, Christina Dale and husband, Gregory, of Kenly; his grandchildren and the apples of his eye, Brionna "Little Bit" Shofner, Mackenzie "M.J." Shofner and Paislee "Little P" Dale; his step-grandchildren, Sean, Triston and Grace Dale; his fiancée, Dillan Bryan of the home; son, Hunter Bryan of the home; and a special son, Sampson.

He is also survived by his sisters, Susan Shofner Jones and husband, Bobby, of Raleigh, Sherilyn Shofner of Goldsboro and Jennifer Shofner Bullard and husband, Troy, of Four Oaks; the mother of his children, Elizabeth Lemon; and several nieces and nephews he loved very much.
