BILLYE RAY WILLIAMS

Billye Ray Williams, 73, of 1218 Woodford Court, Goldsboro, transitioned from time to eternity Tuesday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Billye Ray was the youngest of seven children born June 11, 1942, in Bossier City, La., to the Rev. Daniel W. and Leanner Holmes Williams.

She received her early childhood and secondary education at Butler Elementary School and Charlotte A. Mitchell High School in Bossier, La.

She furthered her education at Dillard University (New Orleans) before moving to North Carolina to continue her higher education.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the Rev. C.L. Pennywell at the Bossier Missionary Baptist Church.

Her life will be remembered and celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of the Haskins Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends in the Lander Coe Parlor of the funeral home one hour prior the service.

Loving and sacred memories are cherished by her beloved partner, Robert Ruffin; a sister, Janice Washington of Atlanta; a host of other nieces nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.
