Dorothy Davis Strickland, 91, died Monday in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. Thursday in Micro Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Al Warrick and elder Harold Pittman officiating. Burial will be private Friday in Scott Family Cemetery.
Born June 24, 1924, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late John Quincy and Flora Pauline Price Davis. She was married to the late Leland Vann "Pete" Strickland.
She is survived by a son and a daughter.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
