DANNIE RAY MYERS

Dannie Ray Myers, 70, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Dannie was born July 23, 1945, in Wyoming County, W. Va., to the late John Thelma Myers and Bertha Beatrice Corn Myers.
He was an equipment operator with North Carolina Natural Gas, now known as Piedmont Natural Gas.
Dannie was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War.
One of his favorite things was to be in his garden, tilling the soil and enjoying the fruits of his labor.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
Dannie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Ann Caudle Myers; sister-in-law, Bonnie Myers; and his niece and nephews, Aleisha, Dannie and Joseph Myers.
He is also survived by a special friend, Jeff Lies.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Cures for the Colors at Southeastern Cancer Care Center, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
