John Lee Thompson, 79, 708 Force Road, died Aug. 8 at the Dixon House in Grifton.
Funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born Dec. 25, 1935, in Greene County to Jerry Lee Thompson and Cassie Swinson Thompson.
The family will receive friends at the home of his brother, Aaron L. Thompson, 708 Force Road, Goldsboro.
