FRANCES CHAPMAN WILLIAMS

Frances Chapman Williams, 88, Wilson, passed away Saturday.
Her funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner's Funeral Home. A private burial will follow. The Rev. Johnny Sullivan will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening following the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at the home of her daughter, Carla Bryant.
Frances was a teacher for 36 years in the Nash-Rocky Mount school district.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend. She will be greatly missed and remembered with loving thoughts.
Frances is survived by her husband, Carl Vernon Williams of the home; her daughter, Carla Williams Bryant and husband, Richard, of Wilson; her sons, Carl Williams Jr. and wife, Joy, of Pikeville, Perry Williams and wife, Diane, of Belhaven and Spencer Williams and wife, Trina, of Wilson; her grandchildren, Randy Young and wife, Natalie, Leigh Ann Bryant and Paul Ford, Scott Williams and wife, Jenna, Amy Cordin, Madison Williams, Drayton Williams and Elery Williams; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Haleigh, Bryce, Conner, Coleman, Carleigh and Levi Jase; her sisters, Ann Mills of Southern Pines, Cleon Linke of Kinston and Evelyn Reeves of Raleigh; and her brother, Wiley Austin Avery of Cove City.
She was preceded in death by her son, Henry Elroy Williams, and her parents, Perry Franklin Chapman and Julia Smith Avery.
