Dwight Stuart Wade, Snow Hill, N.C., died April 7, 2015, in Wilmington, N.C.
Dwight was born in Mount Olive, N.C., Feb. 24, 1955, to William Wayne and Celia Hart Wade.
He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah Mackvick Wade, and his sister, Camilla Wade Pender.
He is survived by his son, Ashley S. Wade of Wilmington, and his three sisters, Mary Wade Taylor of Goldsboro, Annie Wade Carter of Chesapeake, Va., and Kay Wade Hudson of Raleigh.
Dwight retired in 2010 after more than 35 years of service at Bridgestone Firestone.
During his retirement, he was an award-winning, sponsored bass fisherman and an avid hunter.
Dwight found his greatest joy in the fellowship of his family and friends and caring for others.
The family will receive visitors at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service of Snow Hill from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harrell's Chapel Church, c/o Arlene McCoy, 78 Dixon Road, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
