WILLIAM RAY O'NEAL

April 5, 1944-March 26, 2015

William Ray O'Neal, 70, Middlesex, went home to the Lord peacefully on Thursday surrounded by his family.

Ray was son to the late Elvin and Letha Fields O'Neal.

He was retired from Barnhill where he was a dump truck driver.

Ray was also a long-distance driver with Williamsons Trucking, Stricklands Dairy Leasing and a tree trimer for the city of Wilson for 11 years.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Pete Perry, and special nephews, Kevin Bissette and Keith "Kit" O'Neal.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at Watkins Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Belinda Perry O'Neal, of the home; sons, Mark O'Neal of Jonesville, Texas, and William O'Neal; siblings, Linwood O'Neal of Douglasville, Ga., Bobby O' Neal (Jackie) of Sims, Fannie Coffe of Wilson, Patsy Bissette (Jack) of Wilson; mother-in-law, Frankie Joyce Perry of Middlesex; sisters-in-law, Vickie Thompson and Debra Vick; brothers-in-law, Ray Perry and Douglas Perry; aunt, Betty Brooks Coley of Wilson, godchildren, Rhonda and William Harrell Jr. of Kenly; his beloved kitty, Miss Patches; and dog, Missy Emmy.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Frank Wefald and staff of Millennia Cardiovascular and Pruitt Hospice.
