Laura Lee Cox, 54, Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March, 7, 2015, at her home.
She was born Nov. 7, 1960, in Altus, Okla., the daughter of Judith Kleinofen King and the late Thomas King.
Laura was working at Concord Nursing Home in Wheelersburg, and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Wheelersburg.
Laura is survived by her husband, Steve Douglas Cox, whom she married July 1, 1983, in Goldsboro, N.C.; a daughter, Amanda Lynn Murphy of Albertson, N.C.; a granddaughter, Alyssa Mae Murphy of Albertson, N.C.; three brothers, Thomas Jr., Freddie and Andy King all of Goldsboro; a sister, Linda Gray of Goldsboro; her mother-in-law, Blanche Cox, and sister-in-law, Rebecca Easter both of Wheelersburg; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Cox of Haverhill and Tim Cox of Wheelersburg.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with pastor James Ballance officiating. Interment was at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday.
