CHARLES "AL" ALLEN WALLACE II

Charles "Al" Allen Wallace II, 86, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Al was born in Talbot County, Md., Feb. 1, 1929, to the late James Avery Wallace Sr. and Dorothy Collins Wallace.

He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard.

Al was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Following his military career, Al worked in sales at Kemp Furniture Co.

A service celebrating Al's life will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Al is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret "Lou" Woodard Wallace; son, James A. "Budd" Wallace III and wife, Debora, of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Stephen C. Wallace and wife, Ashley, and John David Wallace; and great-grandchildren, Brantley Robert Wallace and Brighton Henry Wallace.

Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
