Emmi Schaefer Lambert, 92, died Monday at home.

She was born in Germany to the late Eduardo and Emma Romeika Schaefer, and was married to the late Robert Lambert.

Emmi was retired from Barry's of Goldsboro, but the job that she enjoyed the most was working as a greeter at Wal-Mart.

She was also a member of the Family Y.

A service to celebrate the life of Emmi will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Lambert is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bob Paul and Gina Lambert of Emerald Isle; three daughters and son-in-law, Rose Wright of Matthews, Vickie and Leroy Tarlton of Goldsboro and Pamela Lambert and friend, Tracy Oliver, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Brian and Jodi, Curt and Amy, Stacy and Chris, Bliss, Tim and Jeff and Karen; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Reagan, Elizabeth, Ethan, Braxton, Hayes and Gavin.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be made to Cures for the Colors, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
