WARREN "BABE" GRIFFIN

Warren "Babe" Carroll Griffin, 62, Evans Farm Road, Fremont, departed this walk of life Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, 2015, at home.
Babe was born in Wilson County May 1, 1952, to the late Warren Harding and Lois Medlin Griffin.
He attended Stantonsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a member of Fremont Missionary Baptist Church.
He was past president and member of Fremont Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Walston Griffin; two daughters, Tracy Griffin Radford (Robbie) of Goldsboro and Brandi Carroll Griffin Waddell (Jodie) of Pikeville; three grandchildren, AnaGriffin, Adler and Cohen; two brothers, Walter Ray "Frog" Griffin of Fremont and Gregory Harry Griffin (Jean) of Tennessee; a very special nephew, Randy Hill (Teresa) of Fremont; a special niece, Debra West (Stan) of Fremont; and several other nieces and nephews.
Babe was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Rose Speight and Glenda Ann Taylor.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
