JAMES W. ANDERS

James Walterman Anders, 90, Dudley, went to be with his Lord Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
James was born in Wayne County Sept. 24, 1924, to the late Elisha James Washington Anders Jr. and Lillie Mae Mason Anders.
He had been employed for many years with Dewey Brothers, and later worked with his brother, Donnell Anders, in the family business, Eastern North Carolina Maintenance Co. Inc.
James was a true sportsman, most comfortable outdoors, in the woods or on the water in a canoe.
The family will gather Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, for a time of visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at his home, 159 Potts Road, Dudley.
James is survived by his sister-in-law, Julia Anders Lane; nephews, Jerome Donnell Anders and wife, Diana, Elisha James Anders and wife, Cheryl, and George David Anders and wife, Sharon; great-nieces and nephews, Jordan Skyler Anders, Crystal Jade Anders, Brandie Leigh Anders, Jeremy Douglas Anders and Richard Justin Brown and wife, Melissa; and two great-great-nephews, Jackson Anders and Camden Brown.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Donnell Elisha Anders.
