GLENN RICHARD "RICKY" LEEPER JR.
Died Dec. 24, 2014
Glenn Richard "Ricky" Leeper Jr., 48, passed away Christmas Eve night, Dec. 24, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Christian Powell officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Ricky was born in Solano County, Calif., at Travis Air Force Base.
In the year of 1984, he graduated with his classmates of Southern Wayne High School in Dudley, N.C.
He was a faithful member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, where he served in the bus ministry for more than 20 years, and also worked within the church.
He was last employed with Goldsboro Milling, a job he truly loved.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Turner Leeper of Pikeville; his two daughters, Brittany Rae Leeper and Jessica Joy Leeper of Pikeville; his father, Glenn Richard Leeper Sr. of Dudley; his mother, Shirley Wood and husband, Bruce Wood, of Pikeville; his two brothers, Pete Leeper of Pikeville and Rob Leeper of Newport News; his special cousin, Tonia Ritz Jones of Newton Grove; and his little Sadie Bug of Pikeville.
Ricky was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Effie Rupe; his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Daisy Leeper; his brother, Douglas Leeper; and his sister, Carla Dee Leeper.
The family will receive friends following the service and other times at its residence.
