Mrs. Charlotte Ruth Yelverton, 1421 Airport Road, Pikeville, N.C., died Dec. 24 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Cora Edmundson Artis.
She leaves to mourn a son, Willie C. Yelverton Jr., two daughters, Janice Wilder (Bill) and Cynthia Yelverton; two sisters, Elizabeth Uzzell and Pandora Ward; a brother, Gene Ray Artis (Maggie); and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon at St. Mark Church of Christ, Faro, with elder Robert Hood as eulogist and elder John Ward presiding. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane St., Wilson.
A public visitation will be held Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Faro prior to the service.
The family will assemble at 1425 Airport, Pikeville, at 10 a.m. in preparation for the processional.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
