PIKEVILLE -- Alma Louise Miller, 84, went to her heavenly home on Wed., Nov. 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Homegoing services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with burial to follow in Calypso Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born in Wayne County on Dec. 25, 1929 to the late Floyd and Myrtle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie "Happy" Miller. She was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army Church.
She is survived by her children, Martha Tillman, Preston Miller, Ann Underhill and husband, Durwood, and George Miller and wife, Patricia; grandchildren Marcel Hale and husband, Mike, Rhonda Zimmerman and husband, Kelly, George Miller Jr. and wife, LouAnn, Christopher Miller and wife, Kelli, Jennifer and Celina Kent and Michael Godwin; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
