Luvenia Elliott Thomas, 88, of Wilson went to be with her Lord Sunday.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m., in Joyner's Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery.

The Rev. Tony Moore will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at 1122 Par Three Drive.

Luvenia is survived by four special nephews who loved and cared for her James Phillip Lewis, Sr. and wife, Betty, of Wilson; Marshalle Elliott Lewis and wife, Judy, of Princeton; Robert Dallas Lewis and wife, Anna, of Lake Gaston; and Ronald Elliott Lewis
and wife, Virginia, of Lucama.

She is also survived by her great-nieces Terri Boykin and husband, Tom; Lindsay Caldwell and husband, Stephan; Sarah Lewis, Beth Benson and husband, Daniel; and Candy Blake and husband, Sandy; her great-great-nieces and nephews, Nate and Natalie Boykin; Josh Lewis; Sydney and Skyler Benson; Wyatt, Grayson, and Sadie Caldwell; David and Amber Blake; and her special friend, Brenda and husband, J.C. Lamb.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Rev. O.W. Thomas; her parents, James Ervin and Sarah Elliott; her sister Sadie Elliott Boswell; her brothers, Luther and Marvin Elliott; and her great nephew, Phillip Lewis Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wilson First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2000 Ruann Drive, Wilson, NC 27893 or Meals on Wheels, 2306 Cedar Run Place, Wilson, N.C., 27895.
