Willa Mae Thornton, 60, Newton Grove, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2014.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at West and Dunn Funeral Home chapel in Newton Grove. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times, at the home of Dianne Simmons, 1175 Dobbersville Road, Goldsboro.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Thornton; daughters, Dianne Simmons of Goldsboro, Angie Thornton and husband, Chris, of Grantham and Sharon Gurley and friend, John Joyner, of Newton Grove; sisters, Mary Dexter of Goldsboro, Sherry Gilbert of Four Oaks, Ethel Raynor of Grantham, Pearline Davis of Grantham and Frances Mozingo of Goldsboro; honorary daughter, Bambie Sholar of Seven Springs; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
