MOUNT OLIVE -- Dennis Lee Hollowell, 71, a Mount Olive area resident, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A service of remembrance will be Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield officiating. Visitation will follow.
The son of the late Barry and Sallie Strickland Hollowell, he was a retired truck driver, having been employed with D.T. Grantham Trucking Co. He was known to many by his CB radio handle, "Nervous Wreck."
Survivors include his children, Sheila Faulk of Mount Olive, Renee Tolar of Goldsboro, George Hollowell of Mount Olive, Shane Hollowell of Sanford and Travis Hollowell of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Craig Hollowell of Elizabeth City.
In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with expenses would be appreciated.
