KATHERINE LANE V. TARLTON
March 5, 1932-July 30, 2014
Katherine Lane V. Tarlton, 82, Rosewood, passed away Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Tarlton was born in Wayne County March 5, 1932, to the late George W. and Mavin Wray Lane.
She was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy R. Vernon of Goldsboro and William E. Vernon of Plano, Texas; a daughter, Kathy Ann Johnson of Rosewood; five brothers, Kenneth Lane of Smithfield, William E. Lane of Angier, David John Lane of Missouri and Jacob Lane of Angier and Robert Lee Lane of Texas; a sister, Beulah Jackson of Mount Olive; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
