Will "Bud" Best, 249 Peele Road, Goldsboro, died Tuesday morning.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Bear Creek Headquarter Association in Goldsboro, N.C., at 1 p.m.
There will be a visitation Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, from 1 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends and family at his home, 249 Peele Road, and his son, pastor Will Best at 213 N. Marion Drive.
Bud was born in Greene County May 13, 1937, to the late Arthur and Nannie Best.
He worked at Cokers Feed Mill for 42 years until his health failed.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Best; his son, pastor Will (Ha'Neefa) Best; his children, Augusta (Joyce) Best, Patricia Best, Alfreda McCoy, Tyrone Best and Alfreedie Roberson; and his siblings, Althea Howell, Sylvia Shine, Daisy (James) Ham, Marvin (Frances) Best, John (Ann) Bestt and Phyllis (Gilford) Moore.
