FAYE S. TAYLOR

Feb. 17, 1944-July 7, 2014

Faye Swinson Taylor, 70, Kinsey Mill Road, Mount Olive, passed away early Monday morning, July 7, at her home.

Funeral will be Wednesday, July 9, at 2:30 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Larry Withrow, and with burial following in Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be before the service starting at 1 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. "Buddy" Taylor of the home; five sons, Michael Taylor of Mount Olive and a special friend, Diana Rodriguez of Mount Olive, Kevin Taylor of Mount Olive, Bryan Taylor and fiancée, Jodi Head, of Goldsboro, Jamie Taylor and wife, Katherine, of Mount Olive and Jason Taylor of Mount Olive; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Benjamin "Bud" Swinson of Seven Springs; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn S. "Sis" Malpass of Faison, Betty S. and Clayton Webber of Seven Springs and Velma Gail Price of Seven Springs; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth "Lib" Swinson and Kaye Swinson both of Mount Olive and Betty Faye Sauls and husband, Jimmy, of Bowdens; brothers-in-law, Joel Ray Taylor and wife, Annette, of Grantham, Roy Lee Taylor of Calypso and David King and wife, Betty Jo, of Faison; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Taylor; her parents, Ulysses and Bertha Brock Swinson; brothers, Tom Swinson, Leamon "Buddy" Swinson and Bobby S. "Ham" Swinson and wife, Jo Anne; a sister, Peggy S. King; parents-in-law, Roland and Estelle Taylor; brothers-in-law, Gordon Malpass and J.B. Price; and sister-in-law, Carolyn J. Taylor.

Faye was a member of Salem Advent Christian Church of Mount Olive.

She was a retired sales clerk with employment with Rose's and Eckerd's/Kerr Drugs, and she also had been employed with Mount Olive Retirement Village and was, too, a hospice attendant.

The family wishes to acknowledge daughter-in-law, Katherine Taylor, for her tireless efforts in caring for Mrs. Taylor during her lengthy illness, and also thanks to Carolina East Hospice for its support and care during the last several months.
