GINA MARIE MEADOWS
March 4, 1961-June 18, 2014
Gina Marie Montalent Meadows, 53, Pikeville, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Gina was born in Port Louis, Mauritius, March 4, 1961, to the late Jacques and Lia Lewis Montalent.
She was employed by the Partnership for Children in Goldsboro.
Gina was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.
She was deeply devoted to her family and her husband, Bryan. Gina was happiest when she was spending time with children.
In her battle with cancer, she was a constant inspiration, and those who knew her will always remember her joy in living, her laughter, her positive attitude, her caring and loving ways and, of course, her courage.
A service celebrating Gina's life will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, with pastor Woodrow Witt presiding.
The family will greet friends following the service at the chapel.
In addition to her parents, Gina is survived by her husband, Bryan Meadows; daughter, Lisa Dixon of Fayetteville; her stepchildren, Kathleen, Jordan and Jason Meadows; stepgranddaughter, Lauryn Howell; and her sister, Loretta Montalent of London, United Kingdom.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Charles Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
