Joyce Harris Williams, 81, of Plantation Road passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service. A private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Williams was born in Martin County, N.C., on Feb. 16, 1933, to the late John Thomas and Isabell Buck Harris. She was a past member of American Business Women's Association.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Cherry and husband, Linwood, of Mount Olive, and Pat Rabon and husband, Steve, of Pikeville; one grandchild, Hayley Rabon; two special friends, Debbie Elliott and Deborah Graham; and her beloved cat, Kitty Pooh.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Williams.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center or to the Wayne County Humane Society.
