Evangelist Vernez E. Daggett was born April 12, 1922, in Henrietta, N.C. She peacefully rested in the arms of the Lord, March 9, 2014, in Goldsboro, N.C., at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She leaves behind precious memories to three daughters, Aleatha Banks, Cornetta Banks Pridgen and Judy Banks, and seven grandchildren, O'Tivea Banks, Christian Rhodes, O'Tyren Banks, Deamonte' Pridgen, O'Vion Pridgen, Londyn Banks and Jurease Banks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, with pastor Charles Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park, U.S. 117 South, Dudley.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
