DUDLEY -- Charles Anthony Sutton, 56, Dudley, N.C., son of the late Jarvis and Rena Mae Brewington Sutton, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, N.C.
Funeral services will be held be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Tomika Worrell of Dudley; three sisters, Martha McKinnie, Arzie (Roy) Mason and Oglatha Sutton all of Goldsboro; five brothers, George (Catherine) Sutton, Jarvis Jr. (Gloria) Sutton, pastor Edward Ray (Diana) Sutton all of Dudley, Richard (Kim) Sutton of Durham and Terry Sutton of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Tyrique Thomas and Jamika Worrell of Dudley; two aunts, Georgia Lee Harper of Fremont and Bertha Sutton of Goldsboro, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at the home of Martha S. McKinnie, 605 Robinson Place, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral cortege.
